Here's how you draw: mermaid dinosaur
Step 1: Sketch Basic Shapes
Start by drawing a large, flowing oval for the body of the mermaid dinosaur. Add a small circle on the left side of the oval for the dinosaur's head. Draw a tail fin by adding two curved triangles at the back end of the body.
Step 2: Define the Head and Tail Fin
Draw a snout on the circle for the head by extending a small triangle shape. Add a rounded shape at the base of the tail fin to create the mermaid-like appearance of the dinosaur.
Step 3: Add Facial Features
Draw two large, reptile-like eyes on the head circle. Add a small mouth by sketching a gentle curve below the snout. Include scales on the head and along the back by drawing small, overlapping u-shapes.
Step 4: Draw the Arms and Fins
Extend two short, thick oval shapes from the sides of the body for the dinosaur's arms. Transform the ends of the arms into flippers by drawing fan shapes. Add detail lines inside the flippers to represent fins.
Step 5: Detail the Scales and Finishing Touches
Add small u-shaped scales along the body of the mermaid dinosaur. Darken the outline of the tail fin and add lines for texture. Draw a few bubbles around the creature to give it an underwater appearance.
Step 6: Shading and Highlights
Shade lightly along the underside of the body and arms for depth. Use highlights on the top of the snout and fin to create a shimmering effect like water. Intensify shadow under the tail and around the arms for dimension.
