Is Kidgeni's AI safe for kids?
Yes — safety is the product. Every prompt a child types or speaks is screened and gently rewritten toward kid-friendly art before anything is generated, and every image, story, and comment passes its own AI safety check before a child sees it. There is no direct messaging, and anything can be flagged with "ask a grown-up."
Is Kidgeni COPPA-compliant?
Kidgeni is built for COPPA compliance: a parent, guardian, or teacher creates and controls the account, kids sign in with a screened username and PIN (never an email or phone number), grown-ups can review and delete their child's data at any time, and children's data is never used for advertising.
What ages is Kidgeni for?
Kidgeni is designed for children roughly ages 5–12, always inside an account a grown-up manages. Younger kids create together with a grown-up; older kids work more independently.
How does the AI art generator work?
A child describes what they imagine — typed or spoken — and Kidgeni's AI turns it into artwork, stories, coloring pages, and illustrated books in seconds. Creations spend Sparks, the app's creative energy, which refill monthly on paid plans.
Can kids make their own comics on Kidgeni?
Yes. The comic maker generates a cover and three-panel pages in your child's chosen style, and every speech balloon arrives pre-written but editable — the AI draws, the child writes. Each four-page volume ends on a cliffhanger the child chooses, and finished comics can be read, printed, or shared to a moderated Space.
Can my child ask Kidgeni questions and learn about things?
Yes. "Learn about anything" takes a question like "why is lava hot?", researches it from a curated allowlist of kid-safe sources, writes an age-appropriate explanation, and illustrates it. It is not a chatbot: each Discovery stays on one topic, suggests deeper questions, handles tender subjects with care and a "talk about it together" flag, and leaves a page the whole family can read.
Can I use Kidgeni in the classroom?
Yes — teachers run Kidgeni as classroom Spaces: students join with a class code the teacher controls, share to a moderated feed, and the teacher manages the roster. The Schools plan adds pooled Sparks and learning journeys for whole classrooms.
Is my child's work private?
Private by default. A child's home gallery is visible to your family only, and work appears beyond it only when shared to a Space a grown-up owns and moderates. Images are stored privately and served via expiring links, never public URLs.
