How Kidgeni works
You create the account
A parent, guardian, or teacher signs up and owns the family's plan and Sparks (our creative energy — kids spend them to make things, and only grown-ups can buy them).
You add your kids
Each kid gets a profile with a screened username and a PIN — never an email, phone number, or password. You can reset a PIN any time.
They create safely
Kids make art, stories, and books with AI, inside safety checks that screen every prompt before generation and every image before it's shown.
Safety features
AI moderation on everything
Every prompt a kid types (or speaks) is screened and gently rewritten toward kid-friendly art before anything is generated, and every generated image and story passes its own safety check before a child sees it.
Private by default
A kid's home gallery is visible to your family only. Work appears beyond it only when shared to a Space — a family or classroom group a grown-up owns.
No direct messaging
There is no chat and no private messaging on Kidgeni. Kids can react and leave comments on creations in their Space, every comment passes AI moderation before it appears, and anything can be flagged with "ask a grown-up."
You control the room
Space owners decide who joins (open with a code, approve-each-kid review mode, or closed), can remove members, and see the whole feed. Kid-initiated signups route to you for consent first.
Managing your account
Sparks
Your plan refills Sparks monthly; purchased Spark packs don't expire. Only the account grown-up can buy them.
Kids
Add kids, reset PINs, and remove members from your Grown-ups page and Space admin hub.
Creations
Download your family's work in high resolution on paid plans; contact support for a full export.
Cancel or delete
Cancel any time; account deletion completes within 30 days (see the Privacy Policy).
Frequently asked questions
What age is Kidgeni for?
Kidgeni is designed for children roughly ages 5–12, always inside an account a grown-up manages. Younger kids do best creating together with you; older kids can work more independently.
What if my child tries to make something inappropriate?
The safety layer redirects unsafe ideas into friendly ones (a "scary monster" becomes a silly cartoon one) and blocks what can't be salvaged with a warm, non-scary message. Nothing unsafe is generated in the first place.
Can I use Kidgeni for school or homeschool?
Yes — Spaces work as classrooms: kids join with a code you control, share to a moderated feed, and you manage the roster. Many families use Kidgeni for creative writing, art projects, and storytelling.
Who owns my child's creations?
Your family does. We don't claim ownership, we don't use creations for marketing without your permission, and we don't train AI models on them.
